Fauna of the Grantville gravel reserve with reference to vegetation and conservation status
January 1996, by Alex Kutt and J Yugovic. Victorian Naturalist, 1996
In 1996, following a major ecological study commissioned by the Bass Coast Shire Council, Kutt and Yugovic recommended 17.5 hectares of the gravel reserve be transferred into the adjoining Grantville Conservation Reserve due to its rich ecology. Twenty-four years later, this area is part of the Sand Supplies quarry site and is currently being quarried.
